The keyless chuck fits shafts 1/2" x 20 threads and the chuck capacity is 0 to 1/2". It needs no key because it use a spring inside that closes the chuck when you screw it on an abor.
Jaws are "spring loaded". Turn chuck to open and close, no key needed.
