Smith Little Torch is a miniature welding torch used for fine detail soldering, brazing welding applications. The "Little Torch" offers greater maneuverability than other torches. This is a very popular welding torch due to the wide range of materials that it can be used for. Thus this torch is used by Metalsmiths, Hobbyists, by Glass Blowers, Plumbers, in the Electronics Field, by Modelists and by Jewelers for soldering of precious metals as well. Smith has designed this compact and lightweight torch to produces a consistent flame that can reach up to 5300 F. This model uses Oxygen along with any of these Fuel Supplies - - Natural Gas, Propane, and Mapp Gas. The torch comes in a set that includes “The Little Torch”, as well as 5 tips (#3 - #7) and 8' long color coded hoses with connectors ("B" 9/16-18 Type RH for Oxygen Green Hose and LH for Fuel Red Hose). The #3 tip has a synthetic sapphire orifice for improved flame characteristics, control, and work. This Little Torches maximum flame temperatures range is: 5300 F when utilizing Mapp Gas, 5000 F with Propane and 4600 F with Natural Gas. In order to get a higher temperature (6300 F) we recommend utilizing our Little Torch Model TC-206 which utilizes Acetylene or Hydrogen fuel supply to attain the higher temperature.
