The Akron Quick-Cure is a silicone base rubber that is the fastest curing in its class. Mold packing is very fast, due to its putty-like content. A ?" thick mold can cure in only 14 minutes at 350 F. It can be cooled rapidly in tap water. An experienced mold maker can vulcanize, cool, and cut a mold within a 30-minute time frame from start to finish. This material also has great rear resistance, a 1.8% shrink ratio, and has a 350 F temperature. Perfect for platinum. Sold per box of 5 lbs.
