This Raising Hammer is a high quality metal smithing hammer made by Fretz (who also manufacture Fretz Stakes) and this hammer raises small vessels & plannishes subtle concave shapes. These Fretz Hammers are small versions of full size silversmithing hammers, but this size makes them useful for jewelry and small metalsmithing forming projects. These hammers are made with 420 hardened stainless steel, rosewood handles, and only weigh 120 grams. One side of the hammer is for wide raising (Width 25/32" = 19.81mm) (Height 27/64" = 10.79mm), the other is for grooving (Width 25/32" = 19.70mm) (Height 19/64" = 7.58mm), and from end to end it measures (2-7/8" = 73.09mm).
