Crucible Melting for precious metal - gold and silver melting, High-Back crucible has a raised back portion, made of clay bonded fused silica and is used for melting precious gold melting, silver, brass and copper and other metals with temperatures up to 2500 degrees F. Capacity is 24 Oz. Crucible measures 3-3/8" diameter and 3-3/8" Height (to high portion)
Note: Pre-heat crucible prior to using, to remove moisture, protect with a glaze of borax
