Melting Crucibles Fused-Silica-ClayBond - 80 Oz capacity, Melting Crucible used for melting precious metals; gold, silver, bronze etc. Made of clay bonded fused silica. Crucible has a pouring spout, with a wall thickness that is heavier than other similar types ( 5/16” / 8mm ), a quality crucible and long lasting. Can withstand temperatures up to 2500 degrees F.
Note: Crucibles should be pre-heated prior to use to eliminate moisture and glazed for better protection.
